20th Izvozni Fokus, event organized by newspaper Finance took place on June 23rd. Our Procurator and Commercial Director of Kolektor Etra, Mr. Peter Novak, together with Mr. Matjaž Čemažar, director of Domel, participated in an interactive conversation on the topic of responding to the post-corona recession.
Mr. Novak presented the measures introduced by Kolektor Etra during the Covid-19 epidemic and highlighted the new practices in operation, business and customer relations that have developed during this time. “Skype meetings, both internal and with customers, and a new way of performing factory measurements remotely with the help of modern digital technology have proven to be very effective, which we will certainly use in the future,” said Mr. Novak.
When asked, what are the key emphases for the successful operation of the company in times of crisis and after, he emphasized that the key is the diversification of sales into several markets and the company’s adaptability to changing circumstances and customer needs.

 

Transformers of rated power 410 MVA and 275 kV rated voltage will be shipped to US

Based on good references from Europe and the experience our customers have with us, we have received an offer to work with a company to build a turnkey wind platform for a US customer. We will place three transformers of rated power 410 MVA and 275 kV rated voltage, on an offshore wind farm in Massachusetts near Nantucket Island. The entire platform will be built in Aalborg, Denmark, and will then be deliver to the US by ship and placed on pilots.

Kolektor Etra has entered the Northern Ireland markets

After several years of pre-qualification procedures through which the customer made sure that we met all the technical requirements and that we operate in accordance with the required standards, Northern Ireland Electricity has put us on the list of suppliers. This is an electricity transmission and distribution company with which we have signed a contract for a certain type of transformers. Over the next five years, we will supply them between 15 and 20 transformers of rated power 90 MVA.

Kolektor Etra acquired company Weltech in Poland

On the November 8th, Kolektor Etra completed acquisition process to acquire company Weltech from Myslowice. Company is located northwest of Krakow and has been operating for 25 years in transformer tank production business. The main reason for buying Weltech is because it is one of the best manufacturers for transformer tanks in Europe, as they are known for their punctual deliveries and high quality of products. We believe this acquisition will increase our strength and reliability and enable our further growth.

 

Kolektor Etra will deliver transformers also to USA

Our first order for US consists of delivery of two power transformers of rated power of 110 MVA (138 kV) and one power transformer of rated power of 30 MVA ( 115 kV). Delivery is planned in 2022 to New York and State of Illinois. Two of Kolektor Etra transformers will be delivered to a wind farm and one to a solar plant. These are our first transformers that will be designed and produced in accordance to IEEE standards and represent for Kolektor Etra not only a step into new market but also a new level of mastery of challenging technical standards.

 

North Macedonia: MEPSO signed 400/110 kV transformer deal with Slovenian Kolektor ETRA

North Macedonia electricity transmission system operator MEPSO has signed a contract for the procurement of 400/110 kV transformer, which will be installed at Bitola 2 transformer station, connected to the country’s largest electricity generation facility – TPP Bitola, with Slovenian company Kolektor ETRA. The new transformer will replace the existing one, which has been in operation since 1980, and will significantly increase the security of supply and the reliability of electricity network in the region. The new transformer will be delivered within the next 12 months.

Kolektor Etra signed first 400/115 kV/kV auto-transformer deal for Electricity Network of Serbia

Electricity Network of Serbia (EMS) is a Serbian national transmission system operator company with the headquarters in Belgrade, Serbia. They have signed a contract with Kolektor Etra for the supply of an 400/115 kV/kV auto-transformer, which will be located in the suburbs of the third largest Serbian town. The mentioned transformer will be our first one of 400/115 kV/kV delivered to our Serbian operator of the electricity network EMS.

 

Kolektor Etra has signed the largest contract in the history of factory

August 13rd 2019 was a historical day for Kolektor Etra. We have signed the largest contract in the history of our operations in amount of 20 mio EUR. It is a contract with Finish buyer Fingrid for the supply of 7 pieces of 400kV transformers, which will be manufactured and delivered by 2023.

Fingrid generated 852.8€ mio EUR of revenue last year and owns the entire Finnish transmission network with 66 transformers (400 and 220 kilovolt) and 116 transformer stations. It is also a member of the association of the international organization ENTSO-E, which connects 43 transmission system operators from 36 countries in Europe as well as outside of EU. It also owns 18.8% of Nord Pool, the larges energy exchange in Europe.

First two of these seven transformers will be delivered to Finland by the end of 2020.

We look forward sharing news with you that we received the prestigious award SLOVENIAN BEST EXPORT OF 2018 by the Conference of Slovenian Exporters, which was held at Brdo pri Kranju on September 14th.

It is distinguished by stable financial performance indicators : 15% annual sales growth over the past five years, above-average profitability and an ambitious future plan, “was stated in the explanation of the prize.

Transformator RT 400 MVA – 420 kV

We have produced and successfully tested so far the biggest and the heaviest power transformer of rated power 400 MVA and rated voltage 420 kV whose total mass is more than 400 ton. Transformer will operate in power plant in Germany, owned by SWM Infrastruktur GmbH.
