Kolektor Etra signed an 80-million-euro contract with E.ON

This year, we have witnessed an exceptional volume of orders, among which stands out the recently signed largest contract in the history of our company. In March, we successfully signed a record contract worth 80 million euros with the reputable German company E.ON. In the years 2026 and 2027, we plan to deliver 53 power transformers with a voltage of 110 kV and a power range from 20 to 80 MVA. If there would be more production capacity available, the order would likely have exceeded even higher.

The trend of increasing demand for transformers continues at Kolektor Etra. “Due to the extensive orders, we have fully booked production capacities for this and next year, including a third of 2026,” reveals Peter Novak, Commercial Director. This year, we plan to manufacture approximately 280 transformers, of which five to six will be supplied to the domestic market in Slovenia. Our commitment to high quality, reliability, and excellent service delivered within agreed timelines elevates us higher each year on the list of the world’s best transformer manufacturers. Therefore, we have managed to increase our market share in the European market from four to five percent.

We are focused on more demanding customers with specific needs. The majority of our transformers are custom-made for individual customers and projects, resulting in almost no standard products. Our goal is to continue on the path of growth and improvements, striving to become even better provider of high-quality transformers in the global market.

90 years of transforming future

This year is a special year for Kolektor Etra, as it marks 90 years since its foundation in 1933. The 90-year journey of Kolektor Etra was and continue to be defined by innovation, high quality of products and the expertise of our employees. Today Kolektor Etra is a successful company that can compete with the biggest multinationals in the energy transformer industry, establishing a strong presence both domestically and internationally. On this remarkable occasion, we have decided to bring together all our employees, including those from our subsidiary companies, to celebrate this important anniversary and strengthen our mutual bonds for even better collaboration in the future.

The celebration took place this June when we all gathered together to celebrate the past 90 years of business and toast to an even more successful future. We did not forget our colleagues from subsidiary and associated companies: Kolektor Igin, Kolektor Etra Beograd from Serbia, Kolektor Weltech from Poland, and Primabiro from Croatia. We had a total of 500 people gathered by the beautiful Lake Zbilje! In the spirit of sportsmanship, we competed in various sports games. The most attention was drawn to the international small football tournament, where 5 teams competed: Etra, Igin, Primabiro, Weltech, KE Beograd. The event was accompanied by good food and cold drinks, as well as great music. Nuša Derenda kicked off the program with her Eurovision hit “Energy.” Later, Samuel Lucas and his band entertained us with music for all tastes, and a DJ took care of the dance rhythms. Together, we proved that besides good collaboration at work, we also know how to have a great time. At the end of the event, we all agreed that this gathering was unforgettable, and we are already looking forward to the next anniversary.

SOLAR POWER PLANT ON THE ROOF OF THE PRODUCTION FACILITIES

The transition to a low-carbon economy is an important factor in ensuring the long-term sustainability and resilience of society. In order to follow this megatrend of the green transition, many companies are exploring ways to reduce their carbon footprint and transition to renewable energy sources.

We are pleased to announce that we have installed a solar power plant consisting of 2,200 photovoltaic panels on the roof of our production facility, covering an area of 4,000 m2. With a gross nominal power of 823 KWp, this system will generate nearly 900 MWh of green electricity annually.

This installation is a significant milestone for us, as it allows us to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a cleaner environment. The solar power plant will help us avoid 424 tons of CO₂ emissions per year.

The project was implemented by the PSU company, which obtained European funds based on the Public Tender for the co-financing of operations for the construction of new small production facilities to produce electricity using solar energy.

New logo for Kolektor Etra

We entered this year with the same values, but a new identity, which will represent our company in the future. Kolektor Etra d.o.o., has changed its logo as part of the reorganization of our parent company, KOLEKTOR GROUP.

In April 2022, Kolektor Group restructured its subsidiary companies into three groups: Kolektor Mobility, Kolektor Technologies and Kolektor Construction, and our company is a part of the Kolektor Technologies group.

With this restructuring, a new common vision of “One Kolektor” was introduced, which is reflected in the overall graphic image of the Kolektor group. As a result, a new unified logo was created for all subsidiary companies in the group, which is exclusively KOLEKTOR.

Even though the name of our company remains Kolektor Etra d.o.o., our visual image has changed to KOLEKTOR, which will be the logo we use from this year onwards.

Students visit at Kolektor Etra

We love to share our acquired knowledge and years of experience with the younger generation. Every year, we organize excursions for high school students to visit our factory. In 2022, we have already managed to organize five visits of five different high schools.

The event is organized with the support of the HR department and two electrical design engineers. Students get acquainted with general information about the company, possible forms of cooperation with the company, and a tour of the production plant. During the factory tour, students get to see various stations and individual procedures for the manufacture of transformers, such as procedures for cutting and assembling cores, winding, assembly, and testing of transformers.

Every time we get positive feedback from young visitors. They are very satisfied with the visit of Kolektor Etra. At the same time, they are grateful for all the information provided during the visit.

Kolektor Etra acquired an ownership stake in the company Primabiro

In September, Kolektor Etra acquired an ownership stake in the company Primabiro, located in Čakovec, Croatia. The company is specialized in production of transformer tanks and  has been operating for more than 25 years. It is known as a quality manufacturer with extensive experience and certificates for the production of  transformer tanks, which are one of the main components of transformers. We decided to purchase a stake in this company because we have been cooperating with Primabiro since their beginnings and we know the company very well.  We believe that co-ownership with Primabiro will not only improve our cooperation and development of the company, but also improve our production capabilities  and reliability of our products.

Development of the Upper Soča Valley with help of Kolektor Etra transformers!

Kolektor Etra will contribute to a more reliable electricity supply and thus development in the Upper Soča Valley.

In September, a new RTP 110/35/20 kV Kobarid, worth 4,5 mio € was put into operation by companies Sodo and Elektro Primorska. The new RTP Kobarid will enable better reliability of electricity supply in this region and it will enable new customers to connect to network, development on existing ones and reduce network losses.

SODO d.o.o. has entrusted the entire implementation of the distribution transformer station to Kolektor Igin. Installment of RTP Kobarid is their first turnkey project, which has been divided into two phases. The first phase covered all construction works and the installation of 20 and 35 kV switchgear, while the second phase of implementation 110 kV GIS switchgear, will be performed if neccesary. Kolektor Etra participated in the production of RTP Kobarid by supplying two transformers, adapted to the voltage of 20 and 35 kV. The construction work was done by Kolektor CPG.

This is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the area of the Upper Soča Valley, which is very important for preventing damage in the economy caused by a weak network in this area. Due to more reliable network, we can expect further development in tourism and industry.
